Hi, It's Nice to Meet You!
and I’m here to help you create a richer, happier life
And I know how to do that because I’ve had to work hard and take risks to find and create my own.
I know what it’s like to have a comfortable life that seems "successful", while wrestling with an inner knowing that sees you are trapped inside a life that just isn’t fully "you." As a young adult, I had it pretty good: the corporate job, a comfortable salary, generous company benefits.
Or so it seemed.
I worked my way up the ladder across three large companies, earning praise and awards along the way. But something was missing.
I felt restless. Uninspired. And I knew something had to change.
I knew a change was necessary but I wasn’t ready to make a big leap to figure out what I really wanted. So I took the “safe” route of going to a top 20 business school instead. I thought if I did well, with my MBA and my newly-secured job at a fortune 500 company, I would start to feel fulfilled.
I would finally be living the life I had always wanted.
I worked hard, and I was good at my job. But I lacked the enthusiasm and strategy necessary to keep climbing the ladder. Plus I had this nagging feeling that it still wasn’t right. It still didn’t feel like “me”.
So I got myself a life coach myself and asked her to help me "find my purpose." Several months later - cue the big epiphany: I didn't need a purpose. I just needed a break. I needed to see the world.
I was absolutely terrified and completely thrilled by the idea. What if the job market tanks and there are no available opportunities for me when I get back? What if I take this big trip, spend all of my money and STILL don't know what I want to do with my life?
But deep down I knew it was what I had to do.
So I plotted and planned then gave up my corporate life for 20 months.
And I traveled the world.
I met new friends and reconnected with old. I scrambled from place to place, and at the same time mastered the art of chill. I became a certified yoga instructor and saw corners of the world I didn’t even know existed. And oh my god, the food.
But this dream of mine didn’t just come true.
It came through hard work, careful planning, serious budgeting and an amazing life coach who helped me find the courage to take a leap of faith.
And that’s what I want to do for you.
Through my intuitive listening and practical planning, I want to help you create a clear vision with action steps to achieve it and the courage you need to live it.
Kindness and empathy are the foundation of what I do. I’m a great listener, and hear the things you’ve left unsaid. I ask the right questions and help you find the answers.
my 20-month career break
In 2012, I started with just $1,500 in my bank account and a dream of quitting my corporate job.
Over the next 18 months I saved more than $40,000 and took off for a 20-month career break.
So what did I do for those 20 months?
Everything. Every. Single. Thing.

I took a 3-month road trip through the US, spent 4 months hanging out with family and friends, enjoyed 8 months traveling the world and 5 months recovering from it all and seeing what came next.
Over those 20 months, I couchsurfed, made new friends, practiced my Spanish, became a certified yoga teacher, reconnected with friends I hadn't seen in years and ate my way through 12 countries.
I stopped saying "one day" and starting saying today.
COMING BACK TO REALITY
Transitioning back was a lot easier than I had imagined.
After 5 weeks of job hunting and dedicated focus, I landed 5 job offers.
It turns out that most companies find those brave enough to follow their dreams and take big leaps interesting and highly desirable.
Through this experience, I realized that one day I wanted to become a life coach and use my experience to help others in similar situations. I also…
- Was offered a job to work for a dream company in Boulder, CO
- Started a business to help people travel on a budget
- Reconnected with friends I hadn’t seen in years
- Experienced beautiful, ordinary moments with my family
- Fed and played with elephants
- Became a certified yoga instructor
- Found the courage to follow my own unique path in life
